Distribution:

Eastern Russia, China, Korea and Japan

Wingspan:

in between 7 and 10 cm. 

Season:

depends on the temperature, 1 to 4 flights annually. In captivity quite often two flights.

Food plants:

Salix, Populus

Rearing:

Very easy, suitable for newcomers. Keep in (spacious) well ventilated plastic containers, in a netted cage  or sleeved outdoors on a living willow.. Fast growing and ready to pupate within four weeks. Keep the pupae in the fridge to overwinter.
