The 4 known species in the Pachyna genus all occur in West and Central Africa. They are large to very large moths. Some have even a wingspan of almost 14 centimeter. The caterpillars are only known for one of the four Pachyna. If the rearing of the other species is similar to that of subfascia, then it will be easy.

Recommended food plants are Rosaceae. Prunus laurocerasus is a good option during winter months.
