Distribution:
India and China and probably throughout most of (sub)tropical continental Asia
Wingspan:
females: 6 to 7 cm, males not more then 5 cm
Season:
in captivity continuously (when kept warm)
Food plants:
Crataegus, Pyracantha. In the wild reported on Albizia, Erythrina, Cinnamomum, Mangifera and Camellia
Rearing:
An easy and fast growing species. Fully grown (to around 7 cm) within 38 to 50 days. The pupal stage is short (when kept warm around 10 days). Keep dry and warm in well ventilated plastic containers until they are large enough to move to a netted cage.
