The Daphnis genus currently consists of twelve species. Most of them are fairly similar looking and quite attractive. Except for Daphnis nerii, which also occurs in Europe and Africa, all the species are found in Asia and Australia.

The rearing is easy and fast, that is if you can get your hands on livestock. Except for nerii, most species or rarely or never offered for sale.
