Ampelophaga is a small genus of only four species, all occurring in Asia. Rubiginosa is relatively widespread, while the other 3 have a more restricted distribution. They are fairly large.

Rearing an Ampelophaga is easy. At least rubiginosa is. They feed on plants in the Vitaceae family.
