Syssphinx is a fairly large genus from the Americas (from the southern USA to a large part of South America). The 51 species currently recognized are all medium sized moths, most of them quite attractive. The caterpillars are also often colorful. However, many species are rather difficult to rear. Most of them feed on Fabaceae.
