Saturnia
Recently many genera were regrouped in an expanded Saturnia. There are now 81 species divided in a number of subgenera: Agapema (5), Cachosaturnia (3), Calosaturnia (3), Eudia (5), Neoris (12), Perisomena (1), Rinaca (= Caligula) (36) and Saturnia (16). The subgenera Agapema and Calosaturnia are North American. All the others Eurasian or east Asian.
This is a diverse group, with species overwintering either as cocoons or as eggs. The rearing goes from easy to very difficult. However, in general, at least some experience is required.
