Rhodinia

The East Asian Rhodinia are all autumn flyers with overwintering eggs. The caterpillars of all 12 species look very similar and make a funny squeaking sound when threatened.

The rearing is, in general, fairly easy. The most difficult part is getting the eggs through winter. They should be taken out of the fridge as early as possible. The longer in the fridge, the lower the hatch rate.
