The Lemaireodirphia are a primarily Mexican genus. The twelve species, many described during the last decade, are medium sized moths formerly placed within the Paradirphia. 

The rearing is pretty straightforward and most species are suitable for newcomers. The preferred host plants are Quercus, Fagus, Corylus and relatives (the Fagales plant order).
