Campimoptilum
Campimoptilum is a small genus of East African Emperor moths. Many names circulate, but most will probably turn out to be synonymes of two species. Kuntzei is the most common and widespread of the two, while the other one - hollandi - is less well known. Both species are smaller Saturnids and not among the most attractive ones.
The rearing of at least kuntzei is very easy, even in the middle of the winter. The caterpillars - variable in color - do not only accept a wide range of Fabaceae, but can also be reared in captivity on evergreen Cistaceae.
