Caio is a small genus within the Arsenurinae subfamily. The 7 members occur from Mexico south into South America. The moths are fairly large, with a wingspan above ten centimeter.

The rearing is straightforward and relatively easy. Most species accept Tilia as an alternative food plant. Caio do not make a cocoon.
