Pseudometa is an African genus of small sized Lappets. Due to their modest size, they are easily overlooked. No surprise that the members of this genus are still poorly studied. The exact number of Pseudometa is at this point uncertain. Depending of the source and how many of the described species are synonymes, there are somewhere in between 15 and 20 species.

About the early stages of the Pseudometa is even less known. At least the one on this website was fairly easy to rear.
