The members of the Pallastica genus are medium to large sized Lappets. The fourteen species are all found in sub -Saharan Africa. Like often with Lappets, there is a huge difference in appearance between the small males and the large and robust females.

Many Pallastica feed on Rosaceae. Prunus or Rosa are always a good choice to start with.
